Not Your Average Preschool....

What If?
What if there was a classroom developed around hands-on work and one-on-one daily instruction?
A preschool that meets your child where they are academically?
A classroom that can take your child where they are capable of going?
A classroom that does not hold them back or leave them behind?
A place where children have the freedom to work, play, and learn all while building confidence and independence?
if that sound good to you, THEN YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE!

My name is Nicole Masson and I have been teaching for over ten years!
I have a master's degree in Early Childhood Education.
I am a licensed teacher who has worked in public, charter, and private schools.
I've taught in classrooms of all age groups from toddlers to third grade.
I have training in the Montessori Method of education and I am moving into my fifth year of teaching Little Eagles Preschool in the Ranches area of Eagle Mountain, Utah.

Our Services
Our classroom is an academically-based preschool with a blended curriculum, including both Montessori and traditional styles of education.
Daily Classroom Activities
-
Each student receives daily one-on-one instruction from their teacher.
Tuesday: Letter, reading, and spelling work.
Wednesday: Math concepts.
Thursday: Alternating topics including handwriting, geometry, social studies, and life skills.
Children are instructed at their own academic level and pace. If your child is ready to start multiplication and place value, I will take them there. If your child needs focused work on the fundamentals, I have a lot of experience and tools for them as well.
-
Each day students participate in movement and music activities, learning songs, and participating in finger plays.
-
Children are instructed in whole group, small group, and one-on-one lessons daily.
-
Each day students receive a lesson in grace, courtesy, and life skills.
-
Children have daily work time where they interact with hands-on learning tools, games, and work. They also have play work where they practice social skills and problem solving.
-
Children engage with self-created arts and sensory materials. All work is child produced. No teacher created crafts here!

What Does a Montessori Classroom Look Like?
In a Montessori classroom students are free to move about the classroom, interacting with hands-on learning materials. Students freely select from the academic work that is available.
Students set up their work mat anywhere that they choose. They can work independently or in small groups.
Montessori classrooms are active and dynamic learning environments.
As students work independently, the teacher moves about the classroom working with children or calling them to one-on-one and small-group lessons. During each child's lesson period, the teacher works directly with that student at their level.
The teachers in Montessori environments keep daily records of where each student is to make sure they are ready for the next step in their education.
